Ethical
Travelers
Ethical Travelers is
a service to provide hospitality to members of the Ethical
Culture movement who are traveling away from home and need
either a place to stay or just someone to give them advice on
the area they are visiting and information on local Society
events.
Each participating
Society has a local coordinator who will solicit and maintain a
list of individual members who volunteer to act as hosts.
Traveling members contact the local coordinator for the city
they wish to visit who will ascertain the traveler's needs and
match the person with a local host.
In order to insure
that problems are minimized, there are a few rules that should
be observed:

Travelers should not
necessarily expect to be put-up. A source of information may
be all that is available.

To insure availability,
arrangements should be made as far in advance as possible.

Visitors should make every
effort to be good guests and fit-in with their hosts' living
habits.

Visitors should not stay for
more than a few days. Do not wear-out your welcome.
-
The AEU and the national
coordinator assume no legal liability for any problems
between guests and hosts.
-
Guests may make voluntary
contributions to the host Society, but they are not
required.
-
This program is for Ethical
Society members only. People who are not part of EC should
not be placed.
